Representative Text

1 If only we keep trusting
Our Father day by day,
If only we keep looking
To Him to guide our way,
He’s promised to uphold us
Through all life’s grief and pain,
And turn our night to morning bright,
Clear shining after rain.

Refrain:
There will come a morn clear shining after rain,
That will end the night, the weary night of pain;
Through the shadows hold God’s hand;
Why they are you’ll understand
In His morning of clear shining after rain.

2 How lovely is the garden
On summer morning fair,
When storms of night have wakened
New life and beauty there;
So oft by tears of sorrow
We clearer vision gain,
And God can prove His tender love,
Clear shining after rain. [Refrain]

3 O loving heart now breaking
For lack of someone’s smile;
The parting though so bitter
Is only for awhile;
Believe God’s word of promise,
Your own you’ll find again,
In heaven’s light of morning bright,
Clear shining after rain. [Refrain]
