During our last fund drive one donor said this: "I love hymns ... If you asked for money, it means you need it! Please keep the work going. And please, accept my widow's mite. God bless you."

She was right. We only ask for money twice a year, and we do so because we need it.

Representative Text

1 Mighty messengers are running,
Shouting, “Flee from Babel’s doom!
For her plagues are swiftly coming,
Her destruction will be soon.”

Refrain:
Oh, behold the angels flying,
Sounding loud the trump of God;
Gath’ring home the sons of Zion,
Sanctified in Jesus’ blood.

2 Popish reign of bloody terror
Passed around—an awful night—
Now the cloudy day of error
Breaks away in evening light. [Refrain]

3 Hark! the shouts of joyful freedom,
’Tis the captives coming home;
From each name of sect confusion,
Made complete in Christ alone. [Refrain]

4 Out of Sodom’s desolation,
Out of mystic Babel’s fog;
In the light of full salvation,
We are coming home to God. [Refrain]

5 Heaven’s truth on earth is telling,
Light is streaming from above;
Saints have found in God their dwelling,
Sweetly bound in perfect love. [Refrain]
