1 The Lord again has given His counsel and His will; He came to live among us, His promise to fulfill. 2 We never are forsaken With Christ our Lord so near. His faithfulness revealing, We feel His presence here. 3 He grasps our hands to lead us Up to the mansions bright. His fold He is preparing; He’ll lead our hearts aright. 4 His wholesome word accepting, May we His likeness bear. By works and deeds confessing, His righteousness we’d share. 5 May we in silence striving, In Christ each vict’ry gain, And with the Spirit’s guidance, Submissive still remain. 6 So march then boldly onward; Our Saviour’s in the lead! He, as a faithful shepherd, Sustains us in our need. 7 We shall not be regretful We trod the narrow way. We know the Lord is faithful, Whose call we did obey. 8 We earnestly are striving For that which brings us peace, Renouncing sin, abhorring The world’s iniquities. 9 Protect, O Lord, Thy children, As we still tarry here, That we in realms of glory May then with Thee appear. 10 Our songs of praise ascending In heaven’s melody, There in Thy glorious kingdom We’ll ever worship Thee.
