Gik Jesus hen igjennem Lidelsen;
Tænk, det var saa tung en Vei!
Naar du, som han, vandre skal
Dødens Dal,
Du Trøst og Styrke faar,

Se, din Frelser følger med,
Kom ihu, han har bered
Dig hos Faderen et Sted!

Saa slukkes Lyset ud.
O du, som gik, og Himlen aabnet fik,
