Representative Text

1 Trust in Jesus, blessed Jesus,
Doubt His goodness never;
He’ll be near thee, He will cheer thee
Only cling to Him;
In thy sadness, in thy gladness,
Praying, singing ever,
Light is streaming, stars are beaming
Thro’ the shadows dim.

Refrain:
Trust Him, walking in the light,
Praise Him for the sunbeams bright,
When the sky is clouded o’er,
Trust in Jesus evermore,
Trust Him, walking in the light,
Praise Him for the sunbeams bright,
When the sky is clouded o’er,
Trust in Jesus evermore.

2 Trust in Jesus, blessed Jesus,
He who died to save thee;
Ever living, comfort giving,
Is thy steadfast Friend;
Come, adore Him, bow before Him,
All thy joys He gave thee;
After sorrow, some sweet morrow
He will kindly send. [Refrain]

3 Trust in Jesus, blessed Jesus,
Yield to Him completely;
Let Him lead thee, richly feed thee,
In His word divine,
Still abiding, still confiding,
Rest in Him so sweetly,
Till His glory, heav’nly glory,
‘Round thy pathway shine. [Refrain]
