David Wright is a poet and professor of English at Monmouth College (IL). In addition to his poetry collections--A Liturgy for Stones (Cascadia, 2003), The Small Books of Bach (Wipf & Stock, 2014) and Local Talent (Purple Flag, 2019)--he has collaborated with composer Jim Clemens on several dozen hymns and choral works. Before teaching at Monmouth, Wright taught at Richland Community College, Wheaton College, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
