Who to God Does Yield

Representative Text

1 Who to God does yield
Finds in Him a shield;
Lives the life that God desires;
Constant vigilance requires,
Humble hearts endure,
Live a life that's pure.

2 Humble hearts are free
From great misery.
If a heart that's bowed in sorrow
Humbly will return tomorrow,
Grief will soon depart.
Have a humble heart.

3 Children, God revere.
He is ever near
In all joy and trepidation.
Unto you be your salvation
And God's heav'nly throne,
If ye but atone.

4 Hearts that humbly pray
Are not led astray,
Always in God's own protection,
Be they firm in their direction.
Meek souls will succeed
If God's voice they heed.

5 Souls who meekly pray,
Who seek God alway,
With pure heart, their faith upholding,
Then My grace will be unfolding
To these souls, devout,
Souls who trust, not doubt.

6 He who is oppressed
Also will be blessed,
Will find rest and peace sustaining,
Strength and joy to him remaining.
Souls who meek will be
Find eternity.
