Composer: W. Lee Higgins

Born in Alabama, William Lee Higgins was first instructed in music by T.B. Mosley and J.R. Baxter. He served as music editor for the Showalter company for a few years, but spent the remainder of his career with Stamps-Baxter. He served as a field representative and a singing school teacher, as for a time was the manager of the company's Chattanooga office. He was a Baptist and was married to the former Ethel Drennon.
