Be Our Light in the Darkness

Be our light in the darkness,
we ask you, O Lord,
and in your great mercy defend us
and keep us from the perils
and danger this night may afford,
for the sake of Christ Jesus
whose love never leaves us;
he is peace that will ease us,
and your bright living Word.
