Pseudonyms offer a unique challenge to us. Here are guidelines to keep in mind:
1. For all instance records, link the name to the authority record for the pseudonym.
2. For text authority records, proceed as follows:
a. If you know the actual name of the author for a text, use the actual name in the authority record and link it accordingly to the name authority.
b. If you are unsure if a name is a pseudonym, use the pseudonym in the authority record and link it accordingly to the pseudonym name authority record.
3. All actual name authority records should reference all known pseudonyms. All pseudonym records should reference actual names, when known.
