65. Hallelujah!

1 If singing His praises on earth is so sweet,
Oh, what will it be when around Him we meet,
For then the full choir will at last be complete,
Hallelujah to sing.

Refrain:
Hallelujah! hallelujah! Hallelujah to sing;
Hallelujah! Hallelujah in praise to our King.

2 How poor are our songs and how feeble our lays,
But there we shall perfectly sing to His praise,
No faltering then as our voices we raise,
Hallelujah to sing. [Refrain]

3 Although we oft sing so discordantly here,
He catches the notes, they are sweet to His ear,
But all will be tuned into harmony there,
Hallelujah to sing. [Refrain]

4 Tho’ while we are singing the teardrops may start,
He sees all our tho’ts and He knows ev’ry heart,
Above there’ll be joy as we each take our part,
Hallelujah to sing. [Refrain]
