| Text: | O Lord, Now Let Thy Servant |
| Author: | Ernest Edwin Ryden |
| Tune: | TESCHNER |
| Composer: | M. Teschner |
1 O Lord, now let Thy servant
From here depart in peace,
As one whose heart is gladdened
By grace without surcease;
Thou Light of all the Gentiles,
Show them of life the way,
That they will all Thy people
May dwell in peace for aye.
2 How precious is the vision
Of Thy redeeming love,
But still my spirit yearneth
To see Thy face above,
Where, clad is robes celestial,
I too shall join the throng
Of ransomed souls in glory,
And sing the Lamb's new song.
3 Then grant that I may follow
Thy ray, celestial Light,
Till earthly shadows vanish
And faith is changed to sight;
Till raptured saints shall gather
Upon that blissful shore,
Where Christ, the radiant Daystar,
Shall light them evermore.
