1 We are marching on, with a cheerful tread,
And happy, happy hearts today;
For the lamp and light of a Saviour’s word
Is cheering us along the way.

Looking upward by faith to a home above,
May we trust and pray, marching on each day,
Rejoicing in a Saviour’s love.

2 We are marching on with a firm resolve
To follow at the Lord’s command,
And we work for Him where the fields are white,
And ready for the reaper’s hand. [Refrain]

3 We are marching on where we hope to meet
And gather in the morning fair;
Then our sheaves we’ll bring, and our songs we’ll sing,
To Jesus our Redeemer there. [Refrain]
