1 Firm in the right let us cheerily go, and boldly,
Marching together, faithful, true;
Firm in the right let us follow the royal banner,
Ready the Saviour’s work to do.

The Captain of our salvation;
Joyful in chorus, His love to the world we sing;

Still with a shout proclaiming
Glory, all glory to Him, our Redeemer,
Lord and King.

2 Firm in the right let us never be faint or fearful;
What though the tempter’s host appear?
On let us go where the battle is wildly raging,
He, our Deliv’rer, still is near. [Refrain]

3 Firm in the right let us never lay down our armor,
Not till the conflict here is past;
Then through the grace and the mercy of Him who loves us,
We shall go home to rest at last. [Refrain]
