Text: | Sing Unto the Lord |
Author: | Miss Ada Blenkhorn |
Tune: | [Come, let us sing unto the Lord] |
Composer: | P. Bilhorn |
1 Come, let us sing unto the Lord,
He washed us in His precious blood,
And made us kings and priests to God;
All praise to Christ, our Lord.
He fills our souls with perfect peace,
Our sorrow turns to joy;
Oh, let His praises day by day
Our hearts and lips employ.
2 His wondrous love come let us sing,
As joyous as the birds in Spring;
And let each strain with gladness ring,
Oh, sing unto the Lord.
His promises are tried and true,
To every trusting heart
His holy words of matchless power
Eternal life impart.
3 Come, let us join the ransomed throng,
And sing with joy the glad, new song;
The sweetest notes to Him belong,
Oh, sing unto the Lord.
Our prayers of faith and songs of praise,
Like incense sweet, shall rise
To Him who, with a robe and crown,
Awaits us in the skies.
