Text: | Saviour So Dear |
Author: | Lizzie DeArmond |
Tune: | [Help me to know Thy will] |
Composer: | Anon. |
1 Help me to know Thy will,
Guide me I pray;
In weakness may I feel
Thy strength alway.
Ever content to go
Where Thy dear love doth show;
Faithful to Thee below
Thro’ life’s short day.
2 O may I learn to wait
Thy voice to hear;
Beneath Thy shelt’ring wing
I cannot fear.
When falls the eventide,
When clouds the stars shall hide,
My tho’ts with Thee abide,
Saviour, so dear.
3 My soul would rest for aye,
In perfect peace;
From ev’ry worldly care
Find sweet release.
Though darkness veils the sky,
I know Thy hand is nigh,
On Thee I will rely,
Till time shall cease.
