As the Master did,
For the blessed love-light
Never could be hid;
Beautiful His home life
‘Mid the grand old hills,
Making sweeter music
Than the mountain rills.

Loving, loving, giving all the while,
Here a kind and friendly word and there a sunny smile;
Helping, helping somewhere ev’ry day,
Always helping somewhere, that’s the Master’s way.

2 Always helping others,
When to mankind grown,
Still the light of heaven
Round His pathway shone;
Speaking like no other,
Loving, pure and meek,
Comforting the saddened,
Strengthening the weak. [Refrain]

3 Always helping others,
May we thus be found,
In our field of service,
Making songs resound;
Looking up to Jesus,
Even children may,
Treading in His footsteps,
