151ss. Lord, when our thoughts delighted rove

1 Lord, when our thoughts delighted rove,
Amid the wonders of thy love;
The prospect cheers each drooping heart,
And bids intruding fears depart.

2 Thy wisdom, goodness, power, and care,
We freely, fully, daily share;
And, rich in promises, believe
That thou wilt to the utmost save.

3 Be all our hearts, and all our days,
Devoted to our Saviour's praise;
And our whole life's obedience prove,
How much we owe, how much we love.
