16932. I'm Sweetly Resting

1 I’m resting by my Savior’s side,
I have no doubt, no fear;
With grace my needs are all supplied,
And I’m contented here.

Refrain:
I’m sweetly resting, safe from harm,
By my dear Savior’s side;
No storms or foes my soul alarm,
For aye I’ll here abide.

2 I feel no dread of sinful foes,
For when they would come nigh,
My Savior all their strength o’erthrows,
And they must pass me by. [Refrain]

3 The mighty storms so fierce and wild
Can give me no unrest,
For Jesus says: "Come near, my child,
Still nearer to My breast!" [Refrain]
