1. Young peo­ple’s Sav­ior, hark when we are pray­ing:
Go af­ter those who from Thy fold are stray­ing;
They are Thine own tho’ blind­ed by temp­ta­tion,
Give them sal­va­tion.

2. And when Thou hear­est souls in sec­ret sigh­ing,
How they are long­ing and for peace are cry­ing;
Teach them to soar on wings of prayer to Hea­ven,
Peace to be giv­en.

3. Show them the light that from Thy throne is beam­ing,
Show them the love that un­to them is stream­ing,
Give them the grace that ov­er­comes temp­ta­tion,
Give them sal­va­tion.
