1 Riding on comes the King of the lowly,
To the city of David so fair;
His disciples are shouting "Hosanna!"
Waving palm branches in the air;
The people are asking in wonder,
"Who cometh?" The multitude sing,
"This is Jesus, the Nazarene Teacher,
This is Jesus, the Prophet King."
2 Riding on comes the King in His glory,
But the people still ask, "Who is this?"
Let us give Him our fullest allegiance,
Nor betray with a traitor’s kiss.
Our lives tell the worth of our message,
Tho’ lips tell the message we bring:
Love for Jesus, the Nazarene Teacher,
Love for Jesus, the Prophet King.
