1 Wie hoch-vergnügt bin ich!
wenn mich die Welt entblösset.
Es heist: geh aus von ihr!
so ist sie, die mich stösset.
Sie kömmt mir hier zuvor,
sie läst mich selbst im Stich.
O! welcher Müh und Last,
Welt überhebst du mich.

2 Hat Jesus keinen Raum;
was willst du besser heissen?
Die Welt muß selber dich
aus Noth und Feuer reissen.
Sie hilfft dir selbst zum Ziel
und lehret dich, men Christ,
was du der Welt dafür
vor Pflichten schuldig bist.

3 Weit sichrer wird es nun,
bey zahm- und wilden Thieren,
als der verkehrten Welt,
sein Leben fortzuführen.
Der Heiland geh't mir vor,
die Welt schiert selber zu.
So eile denn, mein Geist,
zur Einsamkeit und Ruh.
