| Text: | That Ye Believe |
| Author: | Anon. |

| Tune: | [What must I do has oft been asked] |
| Composer: | Gwynn Ewell |
1 What must I do has oft been asked,
Eternal life to gain;
Man anxious seems for any task,
If this he may obtain.
Refrain:
This is the work of God,
This is the work of God,
That ye believe, that ye believe,
That ye believe on Him whom He hath sent.
2 But all the doing has been done,
As God has clearly shown,
When by the off’ring of His Son,
His purpose He made known. [Refrain]
3 He laid on Him, the sinner’s guilt,
When came th’appointed day,
And by that blood on Calv’ry spilt,
Takes all our sins away. [Refrain]
4 Eternal life the portion is
Of all who have believed
On Him, the spotless Son of God,
And thus his gift received. [Refrain]
5 How glorious, blessed, and complete
That finished work must be,
Where God with man delights to meet,
There He would meet with thee. [Refrain]
