207. He Is Keeping Me

1 I have been saved by the pow’r of Jesus,
Wondrously saved by atoning grace;
And I am glad that He ever keeps me,
Keeps ev’ry day and in ev’ry place.

Refrain:
He is keeping me, safely keeping me,
‘Mid the shadows or the bright sunshine;
He is keeping me, sweetly keeping me,
He is keeping me by pow’r divine.

2 When I am tempted He walks beside me,
When I am weak He can make me strong;
When I am burdened I feel His presence,
Keeping, sustaining me all day long. [Refrain]

3 When I must pass thro’ the vale of sorrow,
Comfort He speaks to my troubled soul;
When in the shadow or in the sunshine,
All shall be well under His control. [Refrain]

4 Why should I fear with His arms beneath me,
Just as my day is my strength shall be,
Never a moment He will forsake me,
Mighty Deliv’rer and Friend is He. [Refrain]
