98. The Crown

1 There’s a crown of gold awaiting me
In the land where my Savior reigns,
And when that blessed prize I see,
I’ll be free from my earthly pains.

The crown which the Lord has promised to them that love Him,

2 ‘Tis a crown of righteousness to those
Who have served their Lord and King;
All the chosen ones the Savior knows,
And to them this crown he’ll bring. [Refrain]

3 With the crown of life upon my brow
I will stand by the great white throne,
And with the holy angels bow,
His ransomed and His own. [Refrain]
