19. How Marvelous That He Lifted Me

1 When waves of sin had drifted me
Far out into the night,
The Savior came and lifted me
Into a world of light.

How marvelous that He lifted me,

2 When evil’s pow’r was thralling me,
And storms were ‘round my head,
I heard my Savior calling me,

A feeble, falt’ring word;
But tho’ by grief my voice was spent,
