Text: | On This Day of Days |
Author: | Eleanor Allen Schroll |
Tune: | [On this day of days, to His courts with praise] |
Composer: | J. H. Fillmore |
1 On this day of days, to His courts with praise,
Come we with gladness our off’rings to bring;
Be they large or small, He will bless them all,
Giving to others we give to the King.
Refrain:
Joy beyond measure,
From the heart’s treasure,
When we are giving,
Makes life worth the living;
Love amazing, free,
in His words we see,
Doing for others, ye do unto Me.
2 Scatter joy today; light the darkened way;
In hearts now silent the happy bells ring;
Give with cheerfulness,
He will surely bless,
Giving to others we give to the King. [Refrain]
