1. Now let us run the Christian race,
With persevering speed;
God's word, his Spirit, and his grace,
To active duty lead.
2. Did Jesus leave the realms of bliss,
To save our souls from hell;
A love so wonderful as this,
Demands an ardent zeal.
3. Those who to Christ for refuge fly,
And hope to win the prize;
Must daily on his grace rely,
While pressing to the skies.
