206. I'll Try to Bring One

1 I have a dear Savior, the best Friend I know,
While daily my life-race I run,
I'll try to help others as onward I go,
And into his keeping bring one.

Refrain:
Each soul that we save is a star in our crown,
When heaven's glad morning's begun;
If I cannot do more ere life's sun goeth down
I will bring to the Savior just one.

2 So many are walking in pathways of sin,
Who gladly the evil would shun
If some one would help them the vict'ry to win;
I'll try to the Christ to bring one. [Refrain]

3 So many grow weary and fall in the fight,
Their journey to heav'n just begun;
Perhaps they are watching my dim little light,
I'll try in his name to bring one. [Refrain]

4 I'll stand in the presence of Jesus my King
Some day when my work is all done;
With all of the ransomed I'll joyfully sing
If unto my Lord I bring one. [Refrain]
