| Text: | Awake, My Soul, in Tuneful Lays |
| Author: | Charles P. Jones |
| Tune: | HEBRON |
| Composer: | Lowell Mason, 1792-1872 |
1 Awake! my soul, in tuneful lays
The name of Thy Redeemer praise!
With joyful heart lift up thy song,
And let the music roll along!
2 Where is there happiness like thine?
Thou drinkest heaven's choicest wine;
Thou eatest manna from above,
The banner over thee is love.
3 Thy God has pardoned all thy sin,
And taken His abode within;
Has healed thee of thy many ills,
Thy cup with joy He daily fills.
4 Awake! my soul, in tuneful lays
Pour out in song thy Saviour's praise!
As bounteously He favors thee,
So boundless let thy praises be.
