27. God Will Roll the Stone Away

1 If your life is like a sealed portal;
Hidden from the light of day,
Do not be discouraged; in the morning
God will roll the stone away.

Night will turn to glorious day,
Only wait and trust a little longer;

2 When you feel the shades of night surround you,
When the way is dark with fear,
Never think that you have been forsaken,
For your Lord is always near. [Refrain]

3 When your dearest joys have turn’d to sorrow,
And when hope is growing dim,
Christ will bring you joy and hope eternal,
If you cast your care on Him. [Refrain]
