1 Jesus saw this weary world
Lost in sin,
And the Father bade Him go,
Souls to win,
So He said, “To save that world
From its woe,
I will go,
I will go.”

O it was His wondrous love,
Love to me,
Brought Him down from heav’n above,
Love for thee.
And His love within our hearts,
Yours and mine,
Bids us tell to all the world
His grace divine.

2 He was born in Bethlehem,
Wondrous birth!
An d he lived and walked with men,
Here on earth;
Going on to Calvary
Overcame
Sin and shame,

3 We must follow in His steps,
Do His will;
We must bear our daily cross
Up life’s hill.
We must seek the wand’ring ones,
Where they roam;
