نهارًا تعزي بالليل رقيب
خلاصي من كل الوجود

2- في أيلِ المراعي أربضت الغنم
يا راعي النفوس المريح
لماذا أهيمُ في وادي الألم
كضالٍ في قفرٍ فسيح

3- لماذا أطوف كأني غريبْ
يلتمسُ عوناً مِن كَفرْ
أعداؤكَ شمتوا بي يا حبيب
إذ رؤوا دموعي كالنهرْ

4- راعيَّ العزيزُ نفسي تتبعُك
