1 Day of God, so sweet and fair,
Call us now to praise and prayer,
Gift of God to mortals giv’n
Foretaste of the joy of heav’n.

2 When the week of labor ends,
And the peace of heav’n descends,
O how sweet it is to meet
At our holy Saviour’s feet!

3 Gracious Lord, we look to Thee
For Thy blessing, rich and free;
May Thy gospel’s glorious sound
Echo all the world around.

4 Bless and keep us, Lord, we pray,
Let Thy presence light our way,
Turn to us Thy loving face,
Grant us everlasting peace.
