78. Ring the Bells

1 Ring, ring the bells, for a Savior is born,
Welcome the dear, natal day
Send, send the tidings, with joy in the sound,
Jesus the life and the way;
Jesus our Lord, who releases from sin,
Jesus, whose name giveth sweet peace within.
Praise to His name, let the chorus begin,
Praise Him on earth and in Heaven.

2 Ring, ring the bells, from each turret to-day,
Chiming the dear Savior's praise;
Children now join your sweet voices to raise,
Songs the ancient of days;
Praise to the Father, who gave His dear son,
Praises to Jesus, the crucified one.
Praise to the Spirit to all three in one,
Praises forever be given.
