111. A Royal Army

1 A royal army, marching
Against the pow'rs of wrong,
As loyal as the sunbeams,
We sing our battle song;
Enlisted for the conflict
We proudly march and sing,
Our cause the cause of Jesus,
Hosanna to our King.

Chorus:
Marching onward, ever onward,
With a song we press along,
In the service of our King.

2 A mighty army, faithful
Each soldier, brave and true,
We rally round the standard,
And on our way pursue;
We have no cause for doubting,
The way is full of cheer,
Our Captain is before us,
We have no need to fear. [Chorus]

3 A valiant christian army,
For right we bravely stand;
Our victory is certain,
For Jesus has command;
"Up, onward" is our motto:
We do not fear the foe,
The crown is just before us,
Rejoicing on we go. [Chorus]
