436. "Praise the Saviour"

1 Praise the Saviour, ye who know him:
Who can tell how much we owe him?
Gladly let us render to him
All we are and have!

2 Sing of Jesus, sing for ever
Of the love that changes never;
Who or what from him can sever
Those he makes his own?

3 With his blood the Lord has bought them;
When they knew him not, he sought them,
And from all their wanderings brought them;
His the praise alone.

4 Jesus is the name that charms us;
He for conflict fits and arms us;
Nothing moves, and nothing harms us,
When we trust in him.

5 Trust in him, ye saints, for ever;
He is faithful, changing never,
Neither force nor guile can sever
Those he loves from him.
