733. "Our Father's Land"

1 Jesus, guide our way
To eternal day:
So shall we, no more delaying,
Follow thee, thy voice obeying:
Lead us by thy hand
To our Father’s land.

2 If the way be drear,
If the foe be near,
Let not faithless fears o'ertake us,
Let not faith and hope forsake us:
Through adversity
Lies our way to thee.

3 When the heart must know
Pain for others' woe,
When oppressed by new temptations,
Lord, increase our perfect patience:
Show us that bright shore
Where we weep no more.

4 Thus our path shall be
Daily traced by thee;
Heavenly Leader, still direct us,
Still support, console, protect us,
Till we safely stand
In our Father's land.
