118. I'll go

1 I've stray'd till late, the night is falling,
I long again to find my home;
A voice I hear, so kindly calling,
"My wand'ring child, come home! come home!"

Refrain:
I'll go, I'll go!
With my tears of sorrow swelling,
All my sin and weakness telling,
To my Father's far off dwelling, I'll go!

2 I'm lost upon the lonely mountains,
Where thorns beset my weary way;
Afar I hear the tuneful fountains,
That in his peaceful pastures play. [Refrain]

3 My soul is faint, my spirit weeping,
In want of food that once was free.
My Father's house is surely keeping,
The Bread of Life, enough for me. [Refrain]
