150. The Golden Key

1 In the realms of grace there’s a holy place
Opened up by a golden key;
You may enter there by the way of pray’r,
Jesus waits to welcome thee.

Chorus:
Take the golden key, He is calling thee
Into His holy place;
There’s a blessing there, just as free as air,
In the sunshine of His face.

2 Take the golden key in the morn, and see
How it brightens all the day;
God will answer pray’r ‘mid the toil and care,
Take the galling yoke away. [Chorus]

3 When the day is done and the darkness come,
Use the key in secret prayer;
Singing in the night, for the angels bright
Will be surely watching there. [Chorus]

4 Will you faint and die with this refuge night?
Quickly use this golden key;
You must learn to pray, or be lost some day
Thru a long eternity. [Chorus]
