| Text: | Awake, Thou Sleeper! |
| Author: | B. H. P. |
| Tune: | [Art thou now sleeping, sinner friend] |
| Composer: | B. H. Pearson |
1 Art thou now sleeping, sinner friend,
Indiff’rent to thy doom?
Arouse thyself ere comes the end,
The darkness of the tomb.
Chorus:
Awaken now from sin’s dread sleep,
Ere comes eternal night;
Oh, harken to His voice of love,
And Christ shall give thee light.
2 The Great Physician now is here,
And he will heal thy soul;
Forever thou shall praise His name,
While endless ages roll. [Chorus]
3 From out the death of sin arise,
How joyful shall it be
To meet thy Savior in the skies
And reign eternally! [Chorus]
