110. Ev'ry Moment

1 When the clouds have drifted and the sun is shining,
Do you thank the Lord that it is so?
Soon enough we go to Him when hearts are pining,
Crushed beneath some sorrow or deep woe.

Refrain:

Ev'ry moment to us He is near,
Always ready our poor hearts to cheer;
Clouds will never make the light grow dim,
If we ev'ry moment trust in Him.

2 Daily let us thank Him, and His word keep reading,
Meditating on His loving care;
This will keep us close to Him each promise heeding,
Whether skies be dark or bright and fair. [Refrain]

3 In the morn, at noon, and when the night is falling,
If we talk with Him as to a friend,
We shall hear the Savior's voice unto us calling,
Fear not, I'll be with you to the end. [Refrain]
