66. Salvation

1 Grander than the billowy ocean,
Glorious in its mighty sweep,
Rolls the tide of full salvation,
Deeper than the wat’ry deep.

Jesus saves! oh, ring the chorus,
Jesus saves, he saves the lost;
Jesus saves! oh, great salvation!
Saves unto the uttermost!

2 Wider than th’expansive ocean
Is our Saviour’s matchless love;—
Boundless, fathomless, eternal,—
Here his wondrous name we prove. [Refrain]

3 Roll! roll on, salvation’s water’s!
Oh, submerge us in thy waves,
Till our being, all transfigured,
Shows the power of him who saves. [Refrain]

4 Jesus, stamp on us thine impress,
Make us shine with heavenly rays;
Let us bear thy lovely image,
Let us here show forth thy praise. [Refrain]
