716. On Your Ransomed Congregation

1 On your ransomed congregation,
Lord, lift up your countenance;
be our help, joy and salvation;
life and health to us dispense.

2 In each heart, O fix your dwelling;
there erect a monument
of your love, all love excelling;
there fulfill your blessed intent.

3 Take us under your protection,
grant us to obey your voice,
simply follow your direction,
to your will resign our choice.

4 Thus may we, as your anointed,
Walk with you in truth and grace
in the path you have appointed,
till we reach your dwelling-place.
