44. Each Heart Thy Temple

1 Thou chief among ten thousand,
More lovely than all,
Reveal thyself in glory,
While on thy name we call.

Refrain:
Thou chief among ten thousand,
Our only faithful Guide,
Now make each heart thy temple,
And there henceforth abide.

2 We come, a s thou hast taught us,
Thy merits, Lord, we plead,
Because thou livest ever,
For us to intercede. [Refrain]

3 We know that thou art with us,
We feel thy power divine;
Thy Spirit beareth witness
That we through grace are thine. [Refrain]

4 Our souls, and all within us,
We consecrate to thee,
And pray that in our weakness
Thine arm our strength may be. [Refrain]
