96. Another Pentecost

1 We today may have the power which they had at Pentecost,
Just the very same pow’r, the very same pow’r;
This our heritage in Jesus e’en the blessed Holy Ghost,
Just the very same, the very same pow’r.

2 It was while they all were praying, that the Spirit was outpoured,

In like manner we must wait with one desire and one accord,

3 As the Spirit gave them utt’rance they began to testify,

And three thousand were converted and their Lord did glority,
