Text: | That Beautiful Land |
1 A beautiful land by faith I see,
A land of rest from sorrow free:
The home of the ransomed, bright and fair,
And beautiful angels, too, are there.
Refrain:
Will you go? will you go?
Go to that beautiful land with me?
Will you go? will you go?
Go to that beautiful land.
2 That land is called the City of Light;
It never has known the shades of night;
The glory of God, the light of day,
Hath driven the darkness far away. [Refrain]
3 In vision I see its streets of gold,
Its gate of pearl I, too, behold,
The river of life, the crystal sea,
The ambrosial fruit of life’s fair tree. [Refrain]
4 The ransom’d throng, arrayed in white,
In rapture range the plains of light,
In one harmonious choir they praise
Their glorious Saviour’s matchless grace. [Refrain]
