1 Praise ye the goodness of the Lord,
Ye saints, who trust His faithful word;
'Tis there your Father's love ye trace,
In great and precious promises.

2 'Tis there we hear the voice of God,
Revealing peace and truth abroad;
By holy men of old He spoke;
And none shall God's own word revoke.

3 There we behold His Christ fulfil
The holy counsels of His will;
(Obedient unto death, and now
To Him shall men and angels bow.)

4 Our steadfast hopes to Jesus rise
Above all perishable joys;
Our hearts ascend to His abode;
Our life is hid with Christ in God.
