Children come to me;
Oh, so gently falls,
Mercy’s tender plea.

Jesus saves today;

To him while you may.

2 Plainly Jesus calls,
Children come to me;
Out from prison walls,
Into liberty. [Refrain]

3 Ever Jesus calls,

Soon the death-time falls,
Lost he out may be. [Refrain]

4 Earnest Jesus calls,
Children come to me;
Ever now he calls,
Take his mercy free. [Refrain]

5 Jesus loving calls,

Is to great and small,
