84. The Band of Workers

1 We are laborers in the harvest field,
We will work with our might today;
While our Savior says there is work to do,
We will bear the sheaves away.

Refrain:
Go work, all must work,
We will work with our might today;
For the wheat may fall in the woods so tall,
We will bear the sheaves away.

2 Tho’ the fight be long, and our foes be strong,
We will work in God’s highway;
And we’ll help the weak, and will soothe the sick,
This will bear the sheaves away. [Refrain]

3 Then we’ll brave the fight, for we know we’re right,
And our Savior leads the way;
We will sing and work, and no duty shirk,
We will bear the sheaves away. [Refrain]
